Our leadership team consists of dedicated volunteers that help keep our programs running. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without their help, passion, and creativity. We are truly grateful for everything they do.
Rachel Marie Kimball – Utah Chapter Coordinator
Rachel Marie Kimball is a world traveler who loves dancing and learning– and she loves doing both at the same time! As a certified life coach with Promethean Spark Dance Methodology, she spent the summer of 2017 teaching life skills through dance to children and youth at Rising Star Outreach of India in Tamil Nadu. She later spent the summer of 2018 in Ghana, Rwanda and Uganda learning the dances and cultural traditions of people she met. She has also enjoyed dancing in Mexico, Guatemala, Denmark and Hungary. Rachel received her BA in dance education from Brigham Young University, and currently works as a BTSALP dance specialist for Nebo School District. She also teaches modern and creative dance at The Dance Conservatory and at Children’s Visions. In addition to being an enthusiastic supporter of dance education, she is a strong advocate for the practice and study of dance/movement therapy. Rachel believes that all humans have a right to dance, and to feel comfortable and confident moving in their own skin. Through the BYU Arts Partnership, Rachel is working in collaboration with the Native American Tribes of Utah to find accurate and authentic ways to use Native American arts in every day educational practices. Rachel has presented at conferences such as Learning Edge, Utah NAME and Arts Express.
Marissa Olson – Utah Chapter Events Coordinator
Marissa Olson has worn many hats in the world of performance art. She has performed in many productions, directed and choreographed and worked as technical supervisor. She currently works as the On-Call Technical Director for the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts. Marissa was the Assistant Technical Director at the Capitol Theatre and has worked as the Assistant Festival Director at the Sweet Pea Festival in Bozeman Montana. Marissa has been on the PSI Leadership Team since 2017. She has great passion for using the arts to lift humanity in very real ways.
Jodi Welch O’Farrell
Jodi Welch O’Farrell graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Health Education. She went on to earn her Master of Arts (MA) from the University of Phoenix in Educational Counseling. Jodi is a passionate mentor and teacher. She certified in the Promethean Spark Life Coaching Methodology in 2018 along with her daughter, Britley. Together they have taught in Promethean Spark workshops and intensives. Jodi brings a wealth of expertise in educational practices and exercise science to the PS Utah Chapter Leadership Team.
Steven Glenn works as a Laboratory Analyst at Nelson Laboratories where he performs tests on pre-market medical devices in order to ensure they are safe to be used and improve global health. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology. Steven has been an active member of the PS Utah Chapter since he certified in the PS life coaching methodology in 2018. He served as the Utah Chapter Co-Coordinator for two years during which time he also taught in our summer intensive programs using Capoeira as the medium through which he conducted the life coaching. Steven was the pioneer who certified with Promethean Spark without having a technical dance background. Because of his example numerous other people have certified in the Promethean Spark methodology without the dance background. A whole new demographic has opened up to PSI with this new classification in our certification.
